I walked into a room where she was leading a meeting with her infamous charisma and eyes twinkling (some would say shining, shimmering, splendid), and it felt like I was hit by a freight train; I was forever smitten! Each day since, the feeling has only grown stronger. Ironically, it would take her months to notice me…

Melinda

I first remember meeting Johnn when he walked down a staircase, and I was waiting to give people rides to dinner. The funniest part is I remember him walking down and thinking, “Now, who is this handsome fella?” Later that night, he saved me from a culinary conundrum (what I wanted to order was too big, and he offered to split with me), and we chatted all evening. Every day since, I’ve felt an undeniable bond that I knew would last a lifetime.

Fast forward to October 27th, 2023, and a house full of friends to celebrate our housewarming. Johnn proposed in the yard on the red bridge we built over our pond at exactly 1:43. I couldn’t imagine being happier to celebrate our love together for the rest of the time we are given.

Throughout our relationship, we have shared a special way to remind each other of our love by sending a message at 1:43, a way to express “I love you." To this day, Johnn makes sure to send me a kiss at that time every day.
